YOU3:KRIS2SET 3 / 412

Real rivals. Real 1v1 matches.

Every match is you against another developer: four sets of three questions, the same ones for both of you. Higher score takes it. No lessons to sit through, just a rival and a scoreboard.

Your move. Whenever you like.

No need to be online at the same time. Answer your three questions, 20 to 55 seconds each, and it's their move. Every turn gets 48 hours, so a match fits between meetings, on the bus or inside one very long build.

Real‑world questions. Zero whiteboard puzzles.

Every duel is fought on the work you actually ship: questions from the stack you work in, not brain teasers. Each answer comes with a short “why”, so even a lost duel sets up the rematch.

A skill map, not a tutorial.

No lesson 1, no hand‑holding. Pick your stack and level, start anywhere, and nothing is locked. Topics you've explored least, or keep missing, come up more often. Seniors skip the basics, and still lose here too.

Walk into your next interview sharper.

You get sharper because you want to win, and it shows up where it counts.

  • Asked in interviews. Questions that come up in real interviews carry a badge and a tip on how to say the answer out loud.
  • Track your prep. See the interview concepts you’ve discovered and mastered, topic by topic.
  • Close your gaps. Your skill map, weakest topics and stats show what to drill, and your mistakes come back until they stick.
  • Prove it. A certificate for your LinkedIn that anyone can verify with one link.

Win. Climb. Rematch.

Wins earn XP that pushes you up the weekly, all‑time, country and friends rankings, and trophies mark your win streaks, Strong topics and podium weeks. Lost to Kris? Hit rematch and settle it while it still stings.

Challenge a friend. Settle it with a link.

Drop it in the group chat or your team's Slack. They tap, they play, and the “who actually knows this” debate finally leaves code review.

A 2‑minute warm‑up before your next match.

The Daily Commit: five quick questions with your morning coffee. Commit every day to keep the streak alive, and a weekly streak freeze has your back when life gets in the way.

Learning pays. Literally, in your Office.

Your dev takes on client work, from bug fixes to a SaaS, and earns while you're away. Right answers and the Daily Commit pay into it, and every topic you make Strong raises your pay for good. Play money, never a shortcut to an answer.

  • Grow the company. From a home office to a coworking space, a startup loft and a scale‑up floor.
  • Buy the gear. A rubber duck, a loud mechanical keyboard, a nap pod: every piece is a boost.
  • Dress your dev. Hats, hoodies and gadgets, with new drops every week. Rivals see your look.

Questions? Answered.

Is this another quiz app?

No. It's a game you play against real developers: turn-based 1v1 duels, rankings and rematches. You get sharper because you want to win, not because you're studying.

How does a duel work?

You get matched with another developer, or you challenge a friend with a link. A duel has four sets of three questions. On your turn you pick a topic and answer three questions, 20 to 55 seconds each (more for code), with the explanation after every answer. Your rival then has 48 hours to play the same set. After four sets the higher score wins, and a rematch is one tap away.

Who am I playing against?

Real developers: a random duel matches you with another player, or you challenge a friend with a link.

What if nobody's online?

You'll get a clearly labelled practice bot tuned to your level, so there's always a match. Bots never appear in rankings.

Which stacks can I play?

You pick your stack and level when you start, and every topic in it comes with real-world questions. New paths are added to the app over time.

Will this help me in interviews?

That's the idea. Questions that come up in real interviews carry an "Asked in interviews" badge and a tip on how to say the answer, and Interview prep shows the concepts you've discovered and mastered. The question timer gets you used to answering under pressure, and your skill map and stats show what to brush up on. No app can promise you a job, but you'll walk in sharper.

Is it for beginners or experienced developers?

Both. Pick Junior, Mid, Senior or Not sure, and your answers tune the difficulty per topic from there. Seniors get hard questions from the first duel.

What is the Office?

A small idle game in its own tab. Your dev takes on client projects that earn play money, even while you're away, and you spend it on more projects, gear and outfits. Right answers and the Daily Commit pay into it, and every Strong topic raises your pay. It's optional and never makes a question easier.

Is CodeRiv really free?

Yes. Every question, every explanation, the Daily Commit and challenge links are free for everyone. Premium adds extras like unlimited practice, stats and the certificate. It never unlocks answers.

What does Premium add?

Unlimited practice from your mistakes, detailed stats, a verifiable certificate for your LinkedIn (your progress towards it is free), the premium frame and crown, two streak freezes a week with streak repair, the Daily archive, unlimited hearts for random duels, a longer Office shift with premium outfits, and no ads. Prices are shown in the app, straight from the App Store or Google Play, and there's a 7-day free trial on the annual plan.

Do I need an account?
